This International HACCP Alliance (IHA) approved training provides the knowledge to develop and implement a Food Safety Plan based on the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) method.
Learning Objectives:
- Know the components of a HACCP-based food safety system including prerequisite programs (PRPs) and a HACCP Plan
- Learn how HACCP relates to the Preventive Controls Rule for Human Food requirements under FSMA
- Satisfy training requirements for Global Food Safety Initiative (GFI) standards such as BRC or SQF
Who Should Attend:
Managers, supervisors, HACCP team members and industry members needing a better understanding of HACCP and food safety plan development.
Prerequisites:
None. This is a basic food safety training.

Classroom Training
Available in English and Spanish, completion of this 2-day (16 hour) class meets regulatory and GFSI (including SQF) requirements for HACCP Training. An optional course examination is also available. An SCS Certificate of Completion is awarded.

Online Self-Paced Training
Self-paced courses: take up to one year to complete. Progress through 12 instructor-narrated learning modules on topics including the history of Food Safety; Identifying and Controlling Hazards; Personnel Hygiene; GMPS; 5 Preliminary Steps and 7 HACCP Principles.
Module quizzes reinforce your knowledge and retention of the material and may be retaken to improve your score. The final exam is based on module quizzes and satisfies GFSI scheme requirements.
