The Non-GMO Project seal is one of North America’s fastest growing food labels as consumer demand increases for transparency in the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Non-GMO Project Verified products are projected to account for thirty percent of US food and beverage retail sales by 2018. Many food companies are working proactively to meet the National Bioengineered Disclosure Law by voluntarily having their GMO-free products independently verified. The Non-GMO Project’s distinctive butterfly label is the leading voluntary labeling standard in the US.
