The Food Safety Modernization Act was signed into law by President Barack Obama on January 4, 2011. The FSMA has given the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate the way foods are grown, harvested and processed. SCS offers FDA approved Preventive Controls for Human Food for the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) delivered by approved FSPCA trainers. The Good Distribution Practices Warehouse and Sanitary Transport course includes FSMA relevant requirements.
