Edition 8 of the SQF Code introduces a new approach for assessing individual food industry sectors with customized requirements in separate, stand-alone Codes: Food Safety Fundamentals, Primary Production (Produce), Manufacturing, Distribution, Food Packaging, Retail, and Quality. The course focuses on the Manufacturing sector (Modules 2 and 11).
New and seasoned SQF Practitioners, team members and those attempting to become SQF certified to the Manufacturing Standard. Team members in food manufacturing facilities seeking an understanding of the SQF Code for Manufacturing and how it relates to preventive controls, HACCP, and food safety plan development. This course meets the training requirements for SQF consultants.
Knowledge of GMPs and formal 16-hour HACCP training
The SQF Code for Manufacturing applies specifically to Food Sector Categories 7-22, 31-34 and includes Module 2 (Systems Elements) and Module 11 (Food Safety Fundamentals for Food Manufacturing).
