Job Overview
SCS Global Services' European Program Development team designs and launches innovative certification and verification programs that help companies meet the EU's most ambitious sustainability and regulatory goals. From climate and carbon markets to sustainable products and responsible sourcing, our work supports credible action across global supply chains.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Coordinator to join our growing European team. This role plays a pivotal part in coordinating the development and implementation of new and emerging programs, such as EUDR, ETS, CBAM, ISO Management Systems, FEMB, and Textile Exchange, to help shape how sustainability is verified across Europe and beyond.

The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and collaborative, with a passion for bringing structure and clarity to complex, fast-moving projects. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic, international team and gain hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving sustainability assurance sector.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Development

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and reports using project management tools
  • Track project milestones and ensure timely follow-up on action items
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams, external stakeholders, and third-party partners
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, templates, manuals, reports, and presentations
  • Assist with editing program materials, communication templates, and report templates
  • Support planning and organization of meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements
  • Assist in auditor/verifier onboarding and training, including facilitating trainings and webinars, communicating qualification requirements, and maintaining records
  • Manage data and maintain accurate records using the team’s expected management tools
  • Ensure proper forms and information are supplied to schemes and accreditation bodies in a timely manner
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks by proactively flagging issues to the Developing Programs Management team
  • Support budget management by tracking expenses, issuing invoices, and tracking payments
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement by providing feedback and suggestions; support development of operational efficiencies
  • Support the maintenance and implementation of the program quality systems by maintaining documents, records, and templates in alignment with the SCS quality management systems and the rules of the relevant accreditation and regulatory systems
  • Collaborate on special projects, as assigned

Client Communication and Financial Support

  • Research potential clients and conduct initial outreach to start the leads pipeline
  • Engage with subsidiaries, HQ teams, clients, and verifiers/auditors, providing guidance on program requirements and verification/certification processes in a timely manner
  • Assist in client inquiries, scoping, pricing, proposal preparation, and scheduling of audits/verifications
  • Assist with organization and maintenance of file systems and client database
  • Maintain a consistent audit/verification project pipeline to support financial goals and program timelines
  • Schedule and coordinate new and renewal audits/verifications for client accounts; schedule to ensure auditor capacity and efficiency in scheduling
  • Oversee accurate billing, invoicing, and fee management for accreditation and certification/verification services
  • Carry out travel booking and logistical arrangements, as needed

Operations

  • Assist with organization and maintenance of file systems and client database
  • Assist with editing program materials, communication templates, and report templates
  • Support the maintenance of the ISO accreditation and quality system management
  • Support development of operational efficiencies
  • Assist in maintenance of the auditor qualification and skill database (e.g., Auditor Matrix)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Sustainability, or a related field and
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in project coordination or administrative support
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented, collaborative team environment
  • Strong, professional communication skills including quality of writing, customer care, and timely responses in English and at least one other European language, preferably German
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Loop, Planner) and other project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Trello)
  • Willingness to work in remote, cross-functional, and international teams, including working across time zones
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and hold oneself accountable
  • Responsive and adaptive to global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Sustainability, or a related field
  • Familiarity with stakeholder management and communication platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom)
  • Experience in certification, accreditation, quality management, or regulatory compliance programs
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EUDR, ETS, CBAM, ISO Management Systems, ESPR, CSRD)
  • Experience supporting financial tracking and budget management

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

Estimated Gross Annual Salary

17,000- 23,000 EUROS
