SCS Standards Announces Stakeholder Comment Period for Sustainably Grown® Certification Standard

SCS Standards announced today that its leading standard for sustainable agriculture, Sustainably Grown Standard, has been updated and is open for a 30-day stakeholder comment period. SCS welcomes feedback on the new draft Version 3.0, which strengthens its comprehensive certification standard for environmental, social and economic sustainability performance in the agriculture sector.

The updated standard builds on experience in the field, incorporates input from stakeholders, and is now provided in a more streamlined, modular format. As always, the standard engages agricultural operations to ensure adherence to the rigorous regenerative and sustainable practices that protect the pollinators, climate and the environment, support workers and communities, and reinforce the resilience of farms.

The public comment period for the draft standard opens on April 11, 2022 and closes on May 12, 2022. Stakeholders interested in commenting on the draft Version 3.0 of the Sustainably Grown Standard can find the information and submission form for public comment here: http://www.scsstandardsdevelopment.org/
