Job Overview
SCS is seeking an exceptional individual to join the Human Resources team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist II. As a vital member of the team, this position plays a pivotal role in creating a positive and engaging experience for both internal and external candidates, as well as independent contractors.

This dynamic role collaborates with Line Managers and other staff, and manages the recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring that it is efficient, effective, and equitable. The Talent Acquisition Specialist II is responsible for sourcing the best technical talent, developing and maintaining recruitment goals, generating public interest in open requisitions, managing the recruitment administrative process, and facilitating smooth onboarding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Applicant Tracking System

  • Partner with line managers to assist with personnel requisitions and job descriptions
  • Manage the entire life cycle of the talent pipeline
  • Enter and maintain candidate information on database and server per established protocols
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual talent acquisition reports; examine trends in demographics, recruiting, retention, and sourcing to continuously improve effectiveness
  • Schedule and track interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage qualified applicant pools across a variety of disciplines
  • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and attract qualified candidates

Promotion and Branding

  • Develop and maintain a recruitment strategy in alignment with quarterly goals and budget
  • Present SCS as the right career choice for candidates by effectively conveying the benefits, career opportunities, work environment, and mission
  • Recommend well-qualified candidates to managers and document the process in an organized manner
  • Represent SCS at local industry events and trade shows, as needed
  • Maintain current talent knowledge and emerging trends in talent acquisition and life cycle
  • Monitor and maintain company site on Glassdoor including replies to company reviews, benefits, monthly company updates, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain SCS Careers Page
  • Support the planning and implementation of company talent acquisition strategy, inclusive of diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
  • Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates

Full Lifecycle Recruitment

  • Use cloud-based document control system to manage requisitions and to onboard/offboard candidates/internal employees
  • Partner with line managers to coordinate recruitment processes
  • Meet recruitment deadlines and act with a sense of urgency in a tight labor market
  • Maintain highly sensitive and confidential employee data
  • Negotiate salaries within the allotted budget, document the communication, and confer with managers
  • Develop, update, and maintain Talent Acquisition Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) as needed/required
  • Participate in HR/Recruitment meetings to collaborate, learn new processes, and exchange relevant information
  • Conduct and maintain stay interview data
  • Create a quality candidate experience from first contact through onboarding for current and future opportunities
  • Support interviewing and hiring best practices
  • Use independent judgment when navigating complex circumstances

Onboarding/Offboarding

  • Prepare and upload onboarding/offboarding materials and effectively manage the process
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding/offboarding process
  • Facilitate new employee and contractor onboarding
  • Facilitate administrative preboarding tasks, identifying room for improvement and process efficiencies
  • Initiate background checks and monitor vendor invoices; request and follow up on pre-employment background checks
  • Conduct manager onboarding trainings and maintain Manager Onboarding Guide
  • Conduct new employee orientation and maintain orientation documents
  • Maintain and update employee/manager onboarding surveys

Sourcing

  • Utilize LinkedIn for project creation, candidate outreach, and job postings
  • Conduct internet searches for new and well-qualified talent
  • Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job boards, websites, association job sites, databases, and social media
  • Establish robust talent pipelines that tap into targeted universities, companies, regions, and technical communities
  • Build a sustainable and engaged pipeline of top talent for future hiring needs
  • Partner with managers to post requisitions on program or scheme-specific job boards that target required credentials

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Human Resources or Psychology and
  • 3+ years of current recruitment work experience or additional relevant experience and
  • 4+ years of experience sourcing passive and active candidates
  • Proven track record of managing a fast-paced and highly technical recruitment process
  • Well-developed oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to conduct background screenings using background vendor(s)
  • Excellent interpersonal, client relation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to onboard/offboard talent in an effective, efficient, compliant, and compassionate manner
  • Familiarity with environmental and sustainability issues
  • Commitment to achieving both individual, team, department, and organizational goals
  • Recent experience with ADP Workforce Now, Clear Company or other ATS, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous recruitment experience in an environmental company
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish
  • SHRM-CP Human Resources\SHRM-CP

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

Estimated Annual Salary
$61,102.08 - $68,000.00
