SCS Hires Brilliant Earth Veteran for Jewelry Program

SCS Global Services, the San Francisco–based company that offers “sustainably rated” certifications for lab-grown and natural diamonds, has named Brilliant Earth veteran Katherine Weymouth (pictured) director of its jewelry program. 

In her new role, Weymouth will support the expansion and adoption of the SCS-007 Jewelry Standard. which covers origin verification, climate neutrality, ethical stewardship, sustainable production, and investments.

Weymouth worked for Brilliant Earth for four years—first as a merchandise buyer, then as senior manager for sourcing. Prior to that, she was a buyer for Helzberg Diamonds, production manager for the Kimberley Diamond Company, and account executive for Waldman Diamonds.
