Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audits (SMETA) is one of the most widely used social compliance audits around the globe. Developed by Sedex, SMETA is an audit methodology that retailers recognize and trust as it assesses the Ethical Trading Initiative Code (ETI Code) based on International Labour Organisation (ILO) and legal requirements in Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Business Ethics. Through achieving a SMETA audit with SCS, suppliers can share one audit report with multiple customers via the Sedex online platform, reducing audit anxiety and duplication in ethical auditing, whilst demonstrating responsible business practices.

SCS is proud to be an Affiliate Audit Company (AAC) of Sedex. Sedex is home to one of the world’s leading collaborative platforms for buyers and suppliers to store, share and report on ethical and social audit information quickly and easily. Benefit from our three decades of experience as a sustainability certification body with cross-trained auditors and a reputation for providing thorough, timely and cost-effective services. Bundle your SMETA audit with EFI, Fair Trade USA, Clearview and other certification services for greater efficiency.
