  • Is a pre-assessment audit different than a Gap Assessment?
    A Gap Assessment with SCS reviews your existing policies, procedures and facility condition and offers prescriptive help customized to your specific products and production processes.  A Gap Assessment is designed to help you understand why your products are compliant or non-compliant and prepares you for a certification audit.  A Pre-assessment audit is a non-consultative third-party audit designed to only inform you of compliance or non-compliance and does not offer input or solutions to achieve compliance. 
  • Is it necessary for an SCS consultant to visit my facility to perform a Gap Assessment?  
    If you are in need of a gap assessment of your documentation only, then no, the consultant does not need to make a trip to your facility, saving you time and expense.  The consultant will meet with you remotely via the telecommunication method of your choice.  Documents can be transmitted to the consultant through a secure file sharing program.  In order to assess the condition of your facility or your employee practices, the consultant will need to visit the site.  Our consultants are efficient with your time and schedule only time on site as necessary.
