Ensuring the safety of your seafood products has never been more important. Retailers and restaurants want assurance that seafood products have full traceability, meet their recall requirements, and have been handled safely to prevent bacteria, viruses, toxins and parasites. Consumers want to know that their seafood does not contain food-borne pathogens or high levels of methylmercury.
We provide services to seafood producers, buyers, sellers, importers, retailers, restaurants, and distributors throughout the world.

Audits and Certification:
SCS can simultaneously certify your seafood product handling operations under the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) "Sustainable Fishery" and Aquaculture Stewardship Council "Responsibly Farmed" Chain-of-Custody (COC) certification programs.
By combining your seafood safety and sustainability audits, we can eliminate audit redundancies and provide highly-efficient service.
Certifications are available to single site, multi-site and group client operations:
MSC Chain-of-Custody Certification (CoC) - Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) CoC certification indicates that your organization properly maintains the traceability and identity of fish and seafood products that have come from MSC certified sustainable fisheries.
ASC Chain-of-Custody Certification (CoC) - Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) CoC certification indicates that your organization properly maintains the traceability and identity of fish and seafood products that have come from ASC certified responsibly farmed sites. The ASC chain-of-custody certification requirements mirror the MSC chain-of-custody certification requirements except as noted in the ASC annex.
