SCS Global Services (SCS) is pleased to announce that it now offers FSSC 22000 certification in Latin America. FSSC 22000 is a complete food safety management system standard, benchmarked to the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and based on ISO standards. Certification to this internationally recognized standard demonstrates that an organization has a robust food safety management system in place.
SCS is one of the world’s pioneers and leaders in food safety, quality and sustainability certification audits and training, helping food producers, retailers and the entire supply chain achieve their food safety goals for over three decades. The company has been conducting FSSC 22000 audits in the U.S. and Canada for two years and is now approved to conduct audits in Latin America.
“SCS is excited to continue building our global presence, especially in the Latin American regions, with another GFSI level food safety certification scheme,” said Jessica Caputo, Director of Food Safety at SCS.
FSSC 22000 certification is applicable to food manufacturers, food processors and food handlers. SCS' full suite of food safety and sustainability certification and auditing programs in Latin America also include GLOBALG.A.P., Fair Trade, Carbon Neutral, Bonsucro, ISCC, RSPO, and Sustainably Grown, extensive food safety training classes for food manufacturers and producers, and more. A complete list of SCS´s programs can be found here.
Eddie Gomez, SCS’ Director of Sales and Business Development for LATAM, said, “We are pleased to expand our certification portfolio to accommodate the increasing demands for FSSC 22000 certification and service bundling. Our auditors have proven experience in food safety and sustainability audits. Bringing this program to Latin America is part of our larger commitment to support the region’s robust food and agriculture industry with a full menu of recognized certification schemes.”
